None of this crap makes sense any more. The left reflexively-aligned with Islam after 9/11 because the right was against Islamic terror (as anyone sane would be). Which meant the left then had to support a bunch of things that they either wouldn't care about, or would be on the other side of.
I don't have a problem with Jews or Israel. I just don't want my country involved in a war that's nothing to do with us.
