German folklore has _lots_ of mythological creatures. Here are some of my favorites:
"Draks", draconic familiar spirits which bring their owners grain, milk, or money - but there is often a heavy price to owning them.

"Aufhockers", a multitude of spirits who will jump on people's backs and refuse to let go. I don't know why they show up everywhere in German folklore, but their tales are very, very widespread.

The "Blessed Maidens" of the Alps, female mountain spirits who guard the chamois and other alpine animals.

The "Wild Hunt", which should be more properly regarded as a broad class of related phenomena. Sometimes they are lead by a "Wild Huntsman", and sometimes by a woman. Sometimes they are a procession of ghosts, or a parade of demons. Sometimes they are even a bizarre singular entity.

These are just a few examples. As usual, feel free to ask me any questions you might have about creatures from German folklore, or German folklore in general!
