The rogue swarm certainly seemed to have goals, and they understood the simple idea that 'More resources = more power = more ability to accomplish goals'. That's reason enough to be concerned. As for just being 'prompt processors'... I dunno, you can say that humans are just 'environment responders' - we take in our surroundings and respond to them.
