I am really enjoying my new accessible garden.
I was nervous about giving up that much growing space, but even though I'm no longer using a wheelchair or walker, having the 3ft (0.9m) wide aisles and no plant more than a 2ft (0.6m) reach from the edge of a raised cedar frame is making gardening a joy.
The easier it is, the more of it I'll do. And if a friend shows up in a wheelchair or walker, they can visit any part of it to harvest their own food.
