The problem is a lot of people conflate HAMAS with Palestinian's and their causes. As I explained to some friends recently, HAMAS is not always Palestinians (in fact in a lot of cases they are just people who are against Israel) and Palestinians are not always members of HAMAS. That said, that is still not a justification to wipe out a race of people.
