my partner Daria has strongly recommended KDE to me, and I've used it a bit myself, but I'm dismayed at hearing how sluggish and bloated it sounds because...it doesn't seem, from looking at it, that it *should* be. but I wonder that about a lot of graphical environments, whether they're trying to do too many things at once under the surface.
right now I have LXQt on our GhostBSD desktop. I must admit it feels a bit zippier somehow than Xfce but there's little issues here and there.
