NGL one of my issues with that Pillage game I tried is just so many options are just outmoded by spamming dudes, like why would I buy a berserker who has a a 1/6 change of going to wonderland or charging his own dudes (1 in 6 on each of these to be clear per turn) when just getting 2 dudes with the same gear is 10 points less, or a healer when he can't be armed at all and has to be in base contact and so doesn't provide much value, or upgrades like extra wounds for heroes costing as much as a well equiped additional mode, You can kind of see the issue here and I only played once.
