A slow day sounds ideal after all that activity. And yum, lemon cake. One of my faves!
Yesterday was busy here and today will be too, but in a nice way. We have a cluster of birthdays in the family around this time, so tonight we're going out for tea together. I can't remember the last time we went out together for a meal. This poses some logistical problems since the car doesn't fit all of us at once, but we are solving it with some of us catching public transport into town and then a taxi out of town.
In between finishing work and meeting at the restaurant, I need to do the food shopping. Although I may just do the essentials and do the bulk of it tomorrow. I need to finish the meal plan for the fortnight before I go... I'll ask Kid2 to help me with that since she's home for the day
