My brother, your comments are gold, both of them, and you have certainly given me something to ponder.

I tried to zap you but it said you didn't have it?

Every system or "machine" as you call it, is a mode of production. Before capitalism there was fuedalism. And before that there were autocracies, and so on.

It is the current mode of production that contains how we think; about resources, about our roles in community, about value and debt. It generates laws to legitimize itself and its beneficiaries manufacture a moral code to glorify it.

Those laws & codes control market dynamics and create material conditions rife for super-exploitation.

The current mode of production, and previous modes, are the very reason why there is a defacto accumulation of power inherent in every modern historical context. Because it relies on exploitation and preys on human nature.

Targeting and criticizing the mode of production and its contradictions is the same as targeting the accumulation of power by boardroom, party, or State.

These things are just more containers for our thoughts that the current mode of production has constructed for us.

But what if there was a mode of production that benefited the majority instead of a ghoulish minority? What if the insane technology and resources we have were distributed in a way that mounted a fresh golden age? In fact, *the* golden age - the one towards which all of history has been building.

It is not so impossible to imagine. Humans have been egalitarian for most all of our 400,000 years of upright walk on this planet. No money. No gender roles. Just everyone in the tribe or village doing things to benefit the tribe or village, not their personal self-interests.

But re-achieving this in the modern era cannot be done through anarchy. Revolutionary forces need to establish their own, novel forms of the State. Just as old States of yesteryear were built to serve the interests of Kings and their bourgeois, the revolutionary State would be established to enforce the will of the working-class and defend it against counter-revolutionary forces.

We cannot simply lay hold of the ready-made machinery capitalism has provided and wield it for its own purposes.

To combat the State of the owner-class with precision and efficiency, the proletariat needs to immediate organize into it's own State apparatus - not dissolve into Anarchy.

As long as the State is allowed to exist in its current incarnation, and the world system is configured to accumulate wealth in the imperial core, the working class will need its own version of state to implement its policy and enforce the will of their interests.

Having to be able to meet this Truth on our feet is not a *way* to become great again.

It is the only way.
