The moment when every child realizes that we tried to raise our voices and call for support for their education, but the support did not come, is a painful moment.
We are now coming to the end of the third week, and our 26 orphans in secondary school have still not been able to report back. For these children, it can begin to feel like they have failed. They may ask themselves, “Did we fail? Is our dream of education coming to an end?”
But I want them to know something very important: this is not the failure of their lives.
Sometimes life puts obstacles in our way that are beyond our control. Not being able to return to school on time does not mean they have lost their future. Their dreams are still alive. Their abilities are still there. Their second chance is still possible.
We will keep believing in them. We will keep encouraging them. And even if we have to start again, we will start again.
To every child at Orphans of Uganda: please don't give up on yourselves. One difficult season does not define your life. Your story is still being written, and we believe you can still make it happen.
There is always another day to rise again. ❤️
