I'm a Brit, but that sounds familiar.

Incompetent prescribing of dangerous & addictive drugs, or worse none at all due to sex / gender / race etc.
For some people a TENS machine can help; not if you have a cardiac condition though, often coincident.

In my experience, all you can do is find coping mechanisms; diet, furniture even.
Long Term (decades) I have found nerve damage helps; with pain anyway, the loss of haptics and eventually control of dead areas, not so much.
In my case progressive, injury related and abuse by so called medics.
Bad enough i'm dyspraxic, so get injured regularly despite precautions.

There has to be a better solution that permanent nerve blocks surgically; which I have heard of being promoted.

Pain is a warning mechanism, if only that parts of your brain have gone tilt.

Is it misfiring nerves?
Issues in nerves talking to brain?
Or the brain itself not understanding correctly?

I suspect all 3; what it ISN'T, is that certain people* have higher pain thresholds, reduced sensitivity, should stop moaning etc.

*The sexist & racist attitudes of the so called medical profession are obscene. Add the other prejudices and it is a nightmare.
CF/MFS was dismissed until LongCovid proves that PostViral Syndrome/s are real and debilitating.
The bullshit psycho industry has limited research into pain mechanisms and autoimmune conditions generally.
