Reading the minister's letter in this week's edition of our church bulletin, I'm again reminded that we don't use gender-specific pronouns for God. God is God, and God calls us into deeper relationship with Godself.
God is not male or female or any other gender. God is God, and the implication is that God accepts people of all genders, too.
It's something to get used to. We should stop referring to God as "He" (Jesus yes, the Father yes, but God the Trinity? No). :-)
