And can you imagine how much more *expensive* it is to supply an entire carrier & company when you can't do it at a port? Supplies must be coming by boat, helicopter, or plane. They're burning fuel just to get supplies aboard. It takes longer to do too.
*Everything* is more difficult, more time-consuming, & more expensive.
