Seems worse than that: since in Alabama lower courts found that there was intentional racial discrimination, not just a partisan gerrymander, which is why they sent this case back up despite the previous SC decision, the Supreme Court just legalized intentional racial discrimination, and the last bit of the Voting Rights Act is gone. It's the Taney court now.
