Just finished watching The Odyssey.
I read the book when I was a teenager, and was enthralled by it. As I was reading it, I thought, “I wish I could see this as a movie.”
And I got my wish. This was an excellent adaptation—as good as a film can be. It really gets to the core of what it’s about.
Now I’ve heard some people say it’s not “accurate”. But the Odyssey is not history. It’s myth.
Like the best myths, it hints at a bigger world. And if you’re truly curious, you can discover it for yourself.
