Qualcomm announced on Sept. 23 at its Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii that it will provide official Linux support for its Snapdragon X2 laptop processors. Debian is the first distribution Qualcomm plans to support, with foundational support targeted by the end of 2026; Qualcomm and Canonical are working toward Ubuntu certification in the first half of 2027. The initiative covers X2 chips, not the earlier Snapdragon X1 generation.
