I wish the social sciences got more respect. They're extremely influential & powerful. They define / analyze people / society and how they shape each other.
Like, the issues which most powerfully dictate your quality of life are social in nature. Hunger is not a technical issue. Access to healthcare is not a technical issue. Being loved is not a technical issue. But, so many "serious people" treat the social sciences as a joke. As if they don't matter.
