personally I selfhost nextcloud. It has file storage (with optional server side encryption) and it has a desktop sync app so I can have my files locally and edit them and stuff. Then I run pika backup (Borg backup) daily to backup the files. I plan on getting some sort of flash drive for them to be backed up to that way if my PC fails I can just grab the drive and it'll have the most recent shit.
Borg is also supposed to run backups on next cloud on my VPS but I ran out the storage again lol. Music and stream archives are big
