It’s a pity the sloppy string spread at the nut, otherwise the Martin’s nut fits perfectly, except I missed on the spread and not in a repairable way, you can’t fill those slots for the A strings and cut away all that’s left of the original. I’m still going to get it set up proper.

These strings are finally done, stretched and some broken and sounding it - but according to fedex, the tuners are coming tomorrow.

Still a thing or two, there’s the extra two inlay dots to come out, and with the action better I can see a little body rise, I need to take the highest frets down, above #15.

Then the new tuners and strings. Then when it settles into tune again and I play the sheen off the new strings, we’ll see what we got. 💜🎶🎸
