For anyone working on hardware testing and enablement using AI tools I found that you can buy these cheap WIFI electric sockets called 'Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug Mini'. They allow you to turn power off and on using a simple python script. So after I added instructions to use that python script to my CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md script the AI just cycles the power when needed to ensure the device is in a good state.
