He’s had pretty famous debates with Alex Gladstein and other high profile bitcoiners and hasn’t totally embarrassed himself. He’s even makes good arguments sometimes. He’s a famous bitcoin bear. He understands the fiat thesis, he’s really well versed economically and his articles are worth reading and following.
There is obviously holes in his Bitcoin knowledge, and a serious bias, but there is less than others. In debates he will talk about things like the difficulty adjustment and layer one and two payments etc. he wrote a serious and very long bitcoin tear down article recently about how bitcoin can’t work and it’s seriously in depth. For example, there are things that he knows about btc that I don’t.
However, yeah, there’s an element of bias where he refuses to take the 10,000 foot view seriously because of some micro areas he has tripped himself up on that are obvious to bitcoiners.
