I used to do clinic defense. I did research for a book on Operation Rescue, thirty years ago now -- went to a Catholic Church where OpResc was popular, ingratiated myself, went to meetings, went to a couple of their protests on their side. (I'm a liberal. Always was -- this isn't a conversion I'm discussing, from their side to sanity; I'd been volunteering at NOW a couple years when I did this.)
