I'm really confused why #peertube does not allow to encode videos client side, so that one can just upload the file. It is so unnecessary to re-encode and add extra artifacts instead of just providing the right file from the get go. (not even mentioning scaled versions)
Is there a reason this not a thing https://framapiaf.org/@peertube ?
