In Chapter 11, the King's Own Light Infantry are given a day's leave. Huw takes Mark on a sightseeing tour of the city.
They admire the Beccian temple and its gardens, visit the Christian cathedral, the livestock market, and the city park. They also treat themselves to a substantial midday meal and a couple of pints of beer in one of the better taverns.
