Sometimes it's hard having hobbies that are *almost* practical.
For example, I want to get a CT clamp to report my dryer's power usage to Home Assistant for purely autism-related reasons. I can usually justify home automation purchases as "they'll save time/energy/money by making my house more efficient!"
But since my dryer use habits are unlikely to change, it's hard to convince myself to spend the 50 bucks for purely my own enjoyment, especially with how tight things are at the moment.
