2026 kernel maintainers summit write-up is pretty grim, basically says LLMs are great if you are an expert (defined as an existing kernel developer pretty much) but terrible if you are not. New contributions need to be a lower priority, and no surprise that Linus is being his usual dictatorial self (he should have had leadership taken off him years ago IMO).
