Some of the syncing works well.
But if you edit too many files or you have too many "large" files (I have some photos and pdfs), or if you have a rogue plugin (had one of those), you'll quickly run into issues.
My vault is at 25MB right now. But my sync "storage usage" is showing 439 GB of usage. What does that mean? No on at Obsidian knows.
When they updated the encryption, that caused all kinds of bad. So many duplicate files.
