May I suggest taking a page from my security-adjacent friends and make a brand new identity for your personal use of social media, as opposed to the account you use for things like video announcements and surveys?
You can then continue to post things for followers on your @vkc@vkc@linuxmom.net account as you do now - but use the pseudonym to be "social". Kind of the hat-and-sunglasses-to-avoid-the-paparazzi, but online, when you need to. Something very generic and non-identifying.
Some people call this a sock puppet - but it depends on how you use it. Just don't cross the streams and I see no harm. (If you mix them you run the risk of someone pairing the two up and you're back at square one)
Because hell is other people, and being popular attracts creeps, and the best solution I've seen so far is not to play their game.
