Got my latest bloodwork back... surprise surprise, my uric acid is high. Hence, gout.
The doctor initially wanted me to make lifestyle changes rather than put me on medication, but I told him I don't have the lifestyle risk factors. I don't eat a lot of red meat, shellfish, or alcohol. I do have a family history of gout though.
My cholesterol is a bit high too. Guess I need to start taking diet and exercise a bit more seriously.
