Several years ago, I was chatting to a very posh lady who said "My daaaauuughtaaar lives in Vancoooouvaaaaar" (spanning every octave within human hearing). The whole conversation went like that.
Another time, I overheard a conversation at a posh garden that went like:
Woman: "Tarquin, have you met Gerald?".
Man: "Oh yes, we met in Africaaaaaar".
Hence my occasional posting of things ending aaaaaaar. 😊
