After seeing GENSOKYO STRATEGIC AEROSPACE DIVISION (nprofile…l8pm) live on his stream struggle to post on 4chan (don't worry rand, I can't post there at all because of my vpn without a 4chan gold pass and I ain't giving them shit), it reminded me of my largely abandoning the 8chan diaspora sites.
It's been two years since I participated in zzzchan.xyz's jedi academy Christmas server, or posted to it or to 8chan.moe.
Two years since I realized I had completely outgrown them politically. They retain a dense core of racist, coomer republicans and libertarians who complain about pozz, but loathe paying anything to anyone who wants to explicitly make content they'd like.
It came out real bad when American Krogan (before he echoed counter-currents idiotic position of "we must work with the jews to deport the browns!!" , in spite of himself knowing better from his own research) announced he was no longer making content because he could not afford to treat a job's worth of research work as a hobby with no pay. Few subscribed to his subscribestar (I did til he quit).
The 8chan diaspora's response was to mock him for wanting to make money doing this and throwing all the work he did out the window.
It was really a two year sneak preview, for me, of the absolutely braindead racist, coomer republicans and libertarians on fedi who decided to support Trump again, for no real good reason.
