This week the battery in the old radio controlled clock in my kitchen died and, when I replaced the battery, it just went back to showing 8 O’Clock all the time. I suspect this is a consequence of the UK turning off the BBC Longwave transmitters and, with that, the time signal. It’s sad because the clock was a genuinely useful present from my parents when I moved here nearly 30 years ago and now it looks to be unrecoverable. Has anyone created a time signal emulator?
