After a power outage long enough to exceed my UPS battery capacity, I finally finished up my script to automatically suspend running VMware Workstation VMs and also shut down other (Linux) hosts cleanly upon UPS-triggered shutdown of my Windows host.
I'm disappointed (but not surprised) that VMware Workstation doesn't do this automatically, but in this Broadcom-owns-VMware world I can't imagine that they are interested in any product improvements.
Would anybody find value in these admittedly-crufty scripts?
