The mayor of #Berlin, Kai Wegner, is stepping down after having been caught lying about his handling of a massive power outage in the German capital at the start of the year.
Members of Wegner's party claim the outage was caused by left-wing extremists, based on a rambling screed published on an online platform anyone can post to. Experts who analyzed the post say it was probably written by a native Russian speaker and there is no further evidence of left-wing involvement.
