Quite frankly it's only a part of the reason why mobile ecosystem makes my blood boil, especially with vendors like Smasnug removing the ability to install your own (updated) software and get rid of bloatware.
Case in point: I connected another mainlining victim to WiFi (second motorola-vicky). Phone is still plenty fast despite being a budget phone from few years ago, but it already lost support in 2025... and after connecting it to WiFi it installed all of that rubbish.
Hot take, but at this point nobody should buy any new Android devices.
