Short-ish version for starters. May evolve into a longer thing, if there some interest emerges.
Powers that be - of any kind imaginable - want to know us in full. Be it for profit, political control or our spiritual good - whatever.
Thus, the essential element of socialisation is to keep us all-visible (and at the same time fitting, usually abstract and not-really-existing good-somebody). If you try to hide something, you are suspicious. If you transgress and not hide it - you are shameless scandalist at best.
While it may have had some merits for people living their whole lives in one community, now almost every element of social ecosystem is different.
We live in many, often incompatible, communities in parallel. We present various, often radically, personas to fit in.
I can be lyrical poet by day, revolutionary anarchist by night, and still spend few days a month in BDSM communiity, filumenist club and cross-stitching circle.
And I need a way to manage all these elements of my personal mosaic online.
