Albanese is correct.
Otto Ohlendorf was convicted and hanged in 1951 for saying he shot children, the same way that Israel does today.
He was SS commander of Einsatzgruppe D, at the Einsatzgruppen trial (US v. Ohlendorf et al., Nuremberg Military Tribunal Case 9, 1947–48). Asked directly why his men shot Jewish children, Ohlendorf said if children learned their parents had been killed by Nazis, they would grow up to become enemies of Germany.
