5. Fun Home: Alison Bechdel : don't let the comic book facade fool you - this is an intelligent memoir that will test both your emotional depth as well as your knowledge of literature. The layers of meaning that the author finds in her life by looking at it through the lens of literary themes, especially coming to terms with her own sexuality and her father's. Recommended, but not easy.
