Rely, no. I agree that a man shouldn't rely like that, but he should have a wife that is there to help hold him up in the times where the weight of the world is crushing him. Unfortunately, especially in the west, we have this culture where "love" means "feeling" or "until I stop getting what I want", which is part of why I recommend against men dating in the west in most circumstances.
