I haven't seen the film Emilia Perez, and I can't really speak with any amount of authrority or anything involving trans issues aside from the gigantic bucket of "queer" life. But... Here is the really great Jessie Gender who has been exploring trans issues on YouTube for years spending 2h20m on Emilia Perez and getting into issues I could never even imagine. It's a great examination of possibly the most controversial film ever nominated for more Oscars than any other this year.
