Uhm, gotta ask, but what is source of that image with the walking pole?
I did a ton of field work out at Vasquez Rocks. I love it immensely. (And posted pix publicly online, too.) Ad noticed that the pole in image looks exactly like mine!
Fun fact, although Vasquez Rocks is famous for beautiful sedimentary layers, if you go to the east end of the park (maybe 300 m from main parking lot) there are exposed weathered basalts and volcanics. Subtle, but definitely there.
