Apparently, the people who make Voice Dream have now instituted some kind of advertisement where once every 24 hours a screen pops up, basically asking you to pay for the yearly subscription and the only way to get out of it is to completely close the app and restart it and then you get another 24 hours without the advertisement. I am a little bit annoyed because I did pay for this app when it was under its previous developer, and then I did pay for the yearly subscription when it was under the new developer with the promises that the Kindle reading experience would be better. Instead, it was buggy and crashed all the time and so I went back to the free version. Now apparently I'm going to have to do this thing every day where I go in and restart the app because they think somehow this is going to get me to cough up the money for a subscription. I guess I need to get a little more serious about figuring out what book reader I want to use on my iPhone. I'm honestly worried that one of these days. I will open it up and not be able to use it unless I pay so I should start looking at what is available. 🙄
