All cops and all the military are MAGA. None of them exist to protect civilians. They never did. That’s why the fetishization of them was never warranted. They’re not heroes. They’re not keeping us safe. They’re not defending democracy. We’re a warmongering nation that has turned its violence on its own people, just like so many despots before.

Think about that next time you praise the military or the police. It’s the poison fruit.
