They are getting rid of corporate and service jobs. The only jobs that will be left, and rightly so if you want to earn a living, are those jobs that have a skills shortage and will continue to have a skills shortage no matter how many are imported. Those who cannot gain skills in those fields for eg. trades, repair, maintenance etc. or start their own businesses or build a living off of traditional crafts are in for an extremely bad time. If you don't physically make something with your hands, you are already irrelevant in a monetary sense. Think of fields that cannot be replaced through automation and you'll be golden. Fields that require someone to know what they are doing in a technical skill. Any of the trades are fully booked for months ahead in the west. Try find a good builder/tiler/painter/plumber/electrician/hvac. All of them are busy. So busy they don't even want your business. Don't work for a boss, work for yourself. There are endless opportunities and will be far more unfathomable infinite opportunities in the future if you are prepared to get ahead of others and build a reputation based on technical skills. You don't have to be the best, you just have to be more skilled than most.
