1 Whole Bitcoin Burned: What That Milestone Actually Means for Spaces Protocol
On January 10, 2025 the curious@bitcoin channel posted a short clip with a title that still searches: 1 WHOLE BITCOIN BURNED.
The explorer had crossed a round number. More than one bitcoin had gone into the fire that creates top-level Spaces. The host did not treat it as a stunt. He treated it as the same kind of donation Satoshi made when early coins were left untouched: value given to the network so a new thing could start without a landlord.
That is the right instinct and the wrong place to stop. A burned coin is not a name you can say. Adoption is you@bitcoin in a phone app. The burn is only why nobody at a company got paid to invent @gaming out of thin air.
