My opinion has been forced to change because I observed that I was wrong. For example, I believed agentic coding was pure bullshit, I believed it couldn’t work, because smart people told me so. Then I tried it and it worked. So I changed my mind.
Now my opinion is that it *can* work but usually *doesn’t*. That opinion is in line with my observation - I get working software out of it, yet GitHub remains full of incredibly broken slop that has no business existing at all, and almost everyone using agentic coding seems to be lazy and uneducated and without any actual skill. The notable exceptions to this rule are people known to me here, who are as good with an agent as I am if not better.
