We've maintained mv2 for as long as it's been possible, including a patch to Chromium for this release that makes it possible to re-enable mv2 extensions from the extension manager. We've shown the Chromium warning message now so nobody will be caught off-guard and lose data from their favourite extensions. We're doing everything we can and using the resources we have to make it as painless as possible for our users.
