I agree. The barrier to new parties entering the game is high in most state funded systems…but our current system with no limits for UK resident donations and is toothlessly enforced in terms of election spend by the Electoral Commission shows a system that is highly exploited by the rich. Quibbling over where the rich got their ill gotten gains from and where they currently reside, ignores the issue that they are all buying influence that makes individual votes meaningless.
