one time i sat alone in a restaurant at the airport
i guess i was mindlessly staring at an older gentleman across from me whilst i was listening to music and waiting for my food
maybe he felt sorry for me because he paid for my food
i know his name was charlie because the server gave me the receipt, told me that my meal was paid for with the name charlie and phone number written on it
i asked the server who is charlie and he said the older man who sat in the table across from me
i felt awful after that
so i never mindlessly stare into an abyss in direct line of sight of another human ever again
