Ah yes, so now my probationary employment is over, on Monday I am permanently employed, for real (it is one of those organisations where probationary employment is not negotiable, regardless of role, my first probationary employment in...umm...20 years I think).

As I am having incredibly amounts of fun at work, and according to my colleagues have made a massive impact/change for the whole organisations in previous unseen ways (mostly good I think), I consider myself lucky. I'm not sure they truly understand what they have done though, as I now will be unstoppable.

Anyways, I celebrated it with cooking a shiitake risotto with lots of white wine/broth, some garlic/chili fried jumbo prawns and asparagus tips, topping it all off with a mountain of parmesan and a proper glass of white wine. Now I'm having a coffee and a cognac and feeling almost like an adult.
